ΟΡΦΩΣ. καλεῖται δὲ καὶ ὀρφός, ὡς Πάμφιλος. Ἀριστοτέλης δʼ ἐν πέμπτῳ ζῴων μορίων ταχεῖαν λέγων γίνεσθαι τοῖς ἰχθύσι τὴν αὔξησιν, καὶ ὀρφώς, φησίν, ἐκ μικροῦ γίνεται μέγας ταχέως. ἐστὶ δὲ καὶ σαρκοφάγος καὶ καρχαρόδους, ἔτι δὲ καὶ μονήρης. ἴδιον δʼ ἐν αὐτῷ ἐστι τὸ τοὺς θορικοὺς πόρους μὴ εὑρίσκεσθαι καὶ τὸ δύνασθαι πολὺν χρόνον ζῆν μετὰ τὴν ἀνατομήν. ἐστὶ δὲ καὶ τῶν φωλευόντων ἐν ταῖς χειμεριωτάταις ἡμέραις χαίρει τε πρόσγειος μᾶλλον ὢν πελάγιος. ζῇ δʼ οὐ πλέον δύο ἐτῶν. μνημονεύων δʼ αὐτοῦ Νουμήνιός φησι· τοῖσί κεν εὐμαρέως θαλάμης ἄπο μακρὸν ἀείροις σκορπίον ὀρφὸν περιτρηχέα· τῶν γὰρ ἐπʼ ἄκρης... καὶ πάλιν· γλαύκους ὀρφῶν ἔναλον γένος ἠὲ μελάγχρουν κόσσυφον. Δωρίων δὲ τὸν νέον φησὶν ὀρφὸν ὑπʼ ἐνίων καλεῖσθαι ὀρφακίνην. Ἄρχιππος δʼ ἐν Ἰχθύσιν· ἱερεὺς γὰρ ἦλθʼ αὐτοῖσιν ὀρφώς του θεῶν. Κρατῖνος δʼ Ὀδυσσεῦσι· τέμαχος ὀρφὼ χλιαρόν. Πλάτων Κλεοφῶντι· σὲ γάρ, γραῦ, συγκατῴκισεν σαπρὰν ὀρφῷσι σελαχίοις τε καὶ φάγροις βοράν. Ἀριστοφάνης Σφηξίν· ἢν μὲν ὠνῆταί τις ὀρφώς, μεμβράδας δὲ μὴ ʼθέλῃ. τὴν μέντοι ἑνικὴν εὐθεῖαν ὀξυτόνως προφέρονται Ἀττικοί. The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
