Κλέαρχος δʼ Σολεὺς ἐν τῷ ἐπιγραφομένῳ Γεργιθίῳ καὶ πόθεν ἀρχὴ τοῦ ὀνόματος τῶν κολάκων παρῆλθε διηγεῖται καὶ αὐτὸν τὸν Γεργίθιον ὑποτιθέμενος, ἀφʼ οὗ τὸ βιβλίον ἔχει τὴν ἐπιγραφήν, ἕνα γεγονότα τῶν Ἀλεξάνδρου κολάκων. διηγεῖται δὲ οὕτως, τὴν κολακείαν ταπεινὰ ποιεῖν τὰ ἤθη τῶν κολάκων καταφρονητικῶν ὄντων τῶν περὶ αὐτούς. σημεῖον δὲ τὸ πᾶν ὑπομένειν εἰδότας οἷα τολμῶσι. τὰ δὲ τῶν κολακευομένων ἐμφυσωμένων τῇ κολακείᾳ, χαύνους καὶ κενοὺς ποιοῦντα, πάντων ἐν ὑπεροχῇ παρʼ αὐτοῖς ὑπολαμβάνεσθαι κατασκευάζεσθαι. ἑξῆς τε διηγούμενος περί τινος μειρακίου Παφίου μὲν τὸ γένος, βασιλέως δὲ τὴν τύχην τοῦτο, φησί, τὸ μειράκιον (οὐ λέγων αὐτοῦ τοὔνομα) κατέκειτο διʼ ὑπερβάλλουσαν τρυφὴν ἐπὶ ἀργυρόποδος κλίνης ὑπεστρωμένης Σαρδιανῇ ψιλοτάπιδι τῶν πάνυ πολυτελῶν. ἐπεβέβλητο δʼ αὐτῷ πορφυροῦν ἀμφίταπον ἀμοργίνῳ καλύμματι περιειλημμένον. προσκεφάλαια δʼ εἶχε τρία μὲν ὑπὸ τῇ κεφαλῇ βύσσινα παραλουργῆ, διʼ ὧν ἠμύνετο τὸ καῦμα, δύο δʼ ὑπὸ τοῖς ποσὶ ὑσγινοβαφῆ τῶν Δωρικῶν καλουμένων· ἐφʼ ὧν κατέκειτο ἐν λευκῇ χλανίδι.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
