Ἀντιφάνης δʼ ἐν τῷ Προβλήματί φησιν· ἰχθύσιν ἀμφίβληστρον ἀνὴρ πολλοῖς περιβάλλειν οἰηθεὶς μεγάλῃ δαπάνῃ μίαν εἵλκυσε πέρκην· καὶ ταύτην ψευσθεὶς ἄλλην κεστρεὺς ἴσον αὐτὴν ἦγεν. βουλομένη δʼ ἕπεται πέρκη μελανούρῳ. Β. κεστρεύς, ἀνήρ, μελάνουρος, οὐκ οἶδʼ τι λέγεις· οὐδὲν λέγεις γάρ. Α. ἀλλʼ ἐγὼ σαφῶς φράσω. ἔστι τις ὃς τὰ μὲν ὄντα διδοὺς οὐκ οἶδε δεδωκὼς οἷσι δέδωκʼ οὐδʼ αὐτὸς ἔχων ὧν οὐδὲν ἐδεῖτο. Β. διδούς τις οὐκ ἔδωκεν οὐδʼ ἔχων ἔχει; οὐκ οἶδα τούτων οὐδέν. Α. οὐκοῦν ταῦτα καὶ γρῖφος ἔλεγεν. ὅσα γὰρ οἶσθʼ οὐκ οἶσθα νῦν οὐδʼ ὅσα δέδωκας οὐδʼ ὅσʼ ἀντʼ αὐτῶν ἔχεις. τοιοῦτο τοῦτʼ ἦν. Β. τοιγαροῦν κἀγώ τινα εἰπεῖν πρὸς ὑμᾶς βούλομαι γρῖφον. Α. λέγε. Β. πίννη καὶ τρίγλη φωνὰς ἰχθῦ δύʼ ἔχουσαι πόλλʼ ἐλάλουν, περὶ ὧν δὲ πρὸς ὅν τʼ ᾤοντο λέγειν τι, οὐκ ἐλάλουν· οὐδὲν γὰρ ἐμάνθανεν, ὥστε πρὸς ὃν μὲν ἦν αὐταῖς λόγος, πρὸς δʼ αὑτὰς πολλὰ λαλούσας αὐτὰς ἀμφοτέρας Δημήτηρ ἐπιτρίψαι.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
